well, how much would be showing…remember, I’m the house w/the red roof!!! lol

2 ft of the foundation (brick) around the house and then it will slope down to the walk out basement door. so 2ft on 3 sides and 2 ft at the top of the hill on the fourth side getting more and more showing until you have a full 9 ft showing… i can’t find this color in the two paint books dad left me. eek! i’m in trouble now!

I love the house color!!!! I would like to have MY House this color!!!!!! I think black is a very nice door color too. The ones I have seen in Osky are very pretty!!! now, how that would go with the red base / roof / etc??? I will leave that up to your mom, but I definatly love the house color and black (or very dark slate) doors.

ok so this roof is brownish to me, i feel like the color is a mix of brown and grey – so the slate/black door is still ok with a brownish roof? my roof is very similar to this one but doesn’t have as much lighter shade as this one does. wish it did though… i was thinking maybe a darker navy-ish teal color door with a darker shade of the main color for the brick instead of red… i think what i’m most concerned about is that it will look ok with my brown roof… what do you all think?

I still think a DARK charcoal for the door….black (ish) is neutral IMHO and goes with anything, (even brown) . But I am SUCH a neutral gal, I hardly ever do much color and when I do, I regret it. weird huh??? it all depends on the person though, and honestly, I would not even notice a roof color. Crazy!! I know.

I like the color a lot, I too see a lot of brown in that color. I would be concerned about a red foundation? Are you sure it needs to be a color? Wondering if you would be better off leaving it concrete color so you don’t see it? I do like the idea of a dark blackish door. I think you could easily pick up a bit of a blue undertone I would stay pretty dark though?? If you do a dark color for the foundation you will see it and the door first. Not sure that will be what you want??

i love this color. and if you’re going with red brick i would suggest either a) red door or b) lighter or darker gray than what the siding is. or you could just do a bold, crisp white which always just cleans up the overall look and POPS. that’s a beautiful color…mmmmmm so homey!!
