two posts in one day.

i know!

crazy, huh.

for days.

and then

aren’t you lucky. πŸ˜‰

i just wanted to post about some last minute gift ideas that mean something to someone.

a way to bless others.

not just stopping in at walmart and digging through their $5-$20 last-minute-gift bins.

no. no.

don’t do that.

you can do better than that.

an organization that has grown near and dear to my heart in the last couple years, thanks to my sister amanda.
reece’s rainbow angel tree

how does this work?

well each of these special needs children are up for adoption.

we donate.

and their adoptive parents are helped out financially while adopting these children.

some of these children are “high risk”.

which means at a specific age (most of the time 4 yrs old)

they are transferred to an institution.

to die.

do they have a death sentence?

in their country, yes.

in ours, no!

most of these children do not have life-threaten issues.

it’s their care and lack of funding and so many more factors that make their issues deadly.

please pray about giving.

this organization was just introduced to me a few weeks ago by my sister heather.

heifer international

give a gift in your loved one’s name.

this organization just blows my mind with it’s awesome-ness.

most organizations, like world vision, compassion, etc. have disclosures.

they say that they will override what i specify i am donating my money for.

i don’t like this.

if i specify i am buying a goat.

for milk and cheese.

to support an entire family and community by this goat’s benefits.

i don’t want them to go buy a ton of vaccines.

just my personal beef.

heifer international is different.

they buy and give to a family what i pay for.

oh this is so powerful!

i know exactly what’s happening.

i can pray for this family who receives my gift.

guys, this is huge!

check out what they offer!

i just can’t get over what this means to a family and community.

it’s almost here.

this is my favorite time of year.

did you know eric proposed to me on christmas eve.

it was so amazing.

we were on our way to missouri from my family’s christmas.

it was very near midnight before we got to his parent’s.

it was so cold.

i was rushing inside.

he was trying to stall me.

i was like, no way dude! it’s cold.

and he knew if i went inside his parent’s would be expecting us to be bawling or say something.

which would totally ruin it.

i’m such a sore thumb. 😦

he got me stopped.

said a speech.

got on one knee.

i was too excited to listen.

or remember.

he he

so sweet!

i’ll always remember.

christmas really is my favorite time of year.

i know. i know.

everyone says that!

but it really is my favorite.

i love the family photo in front of mom’s tree.

all the chaos and noise that my family makes while opening presents.

the fellowship.

the kids playing with each other.

a lot different from just a few years ago when it was just us girls, our beaus and mom and dad.

we have four christmas’ to go to.

each year we try to schedule them on different days.

normally at least two fall on the same day

and one is in osky and one in lancaster.

not fun!

especially with a baby.

BUT this year is amazing!

we have three days with a christmas on each day.

a week Β break.

and then the finale! πŸ˜€

i have two more things to purchase tonight.

then i’m done christmas shopping.

so excited to get everything wrapped!!

the ups man, (oh how i can’t wait to see him tomorrow)

has several boxes of presents.

next week i’ll have 2 more coming, hopefully by the 24th.

kinda pushing it. :/

all in all, i’m so giddy to give everyone their gift!

so excited about it! πŸ™‚

Jesus is so good to us.

i pray that we can bless each of our loved one’s this year

and hopefully some people we don’t know…
