that’s it!

Posted: 01/30/2010 in baby bean #2

(2/1/2010 i updated this post near the bottom)

that’s it!

exactly what it feels like…

a cantaloupe.

sitting right. on. my bladder.

literally 80% of the time.

ok, dude or dudette,

would ya?

so then i can whine and complain about you being in my ribs.

i know, i know!

but, i will tell you.

you, baby-love feel MUCH LARGER than your 10.6 oz and 10 1/2 inches long (from head to toe, approx. 6 1/2 inches from head to bottom)

i’m seriously anxious for countertop height counters. it’s becoming more challenging to bend over for 30-40 minutes, say rolling croissants for a prayer breakfast next week…

it’s just like a cantalope, hanging from your middle.

my back says OUCH!

as of last night, sometime in the middle of the night/early morning, i woke up to my hand being thumped by baby bean here…

it wsa sure hard to go back to sleep.

i considered waking up fully and going out to the living room so i could turn a light on and watch, but decided that would wake me up way to much.

but i’m sure you would have been able to see it.

now just to get eric in the right place at the right time so he can share this with me. 🙂

so crazy how it literally just changes over night!

i’m also fairly confident about the baby’s position.

off to go research that all over again. it’s been a few years. 🙂

at this point

i heard the most wonderful words come from my husband’s mouth last night.

the most wonderful.

it wasn’t,

“i love you.”

don’t think me horrible.

not just yet, anyway.

he said,

“we are gonna make it”

WE ARE?!!!!!!!!!!?

we are going to close april 1st.

at this point…

should i emphasis that?

it could change any moment.

do i let my hopes get up?

too late.

it’s just too late.

they are soaring.

just 8 more weeks.

i best get to unpacking.

and repacking.

and organizing.

cuz baby, WE ARE MOVING UP!

… and then we’re going to have a baby.

it’s just too much to take in.

it’s so surreal.

really really weird.

bath net

Posted: 01/28/2010 in knitting, lizzie faith, pictures

i’ve been super annoyed with wet bath toys.

what do you do with your kiddo’s wet bath toys????

this has never been an issue with us before.

lizzie HATED baths.

so it was, get IN,

get OUT!

and then pass her off to her father to console.

good grief.

but one day.

at aunt colors house.

it struck me.

i’m being manipulated like a mad-momma!

i don’t like this.

made her stick it out.

she cried.

attempt to convince me she was going to puke.

and then…

she played!

and had a blast with cousin gena in the tub.

since then, baths are the coolest.

and we currently beg to have one at least once a day!

here’s how i remedied this.

i took my jumbo size 35 knitting needles

a half skein of 100% cotton

and presto!

it’s not very big.

i like it this way.

i don’t want it to be huge and allow myself to have a million toys for bath time.

this is just big enough for the necessities and we can swap out and rotate.

net can be machine washed as often as desired with the load of toys or whatever is easiest.

seriously. half way?!?!

i am still in shock.

somewhere around 19 1/2 weeks today.

so close to the half way point.

kinda freaking me out.

does it look like i’m unpacked, settled, and ready to just babymoon with my lizzie and new peanut.

the bank has their deadlines.

but this momma’s got some SERIOUS deadlines.

i think we’ll be fine! 🙂

starting to sort through everything down here that is still packed,

so i can actually just carry it upstairs and put it away,

instead of the whole unpacking thing.

unpacking and me…

… we don’t get along.

the whole reason for this post.

this lil peanut is pretty quiet during the day mostly.

but when it’s time for mommy to lay down and get some sleep.

snap, crackle, pop.

it’s taking forever to get to sleep with this little stinkpot.

it’s so fun!

but last night, i was just too tired to fully appreciate it.

and there was some seriously crazy happenin’s in there.

we’re at that point,

when you run into people you haven’t seen in a while…

they stop to chat and pause for a second starring at your tum

and instead of thinking, “geesh she’s putting on weight awkwardly”

it’s actually clearly obvious what the cause of the “bump” is.

that’s an awkward, not so fun, stage!

so close. just, oh so close!

i just ran upstairs this morning to get these shots, per fb friends requests…

wow! it’s gorgeous up there!

the sun is pouring in.

the view is beautiful.

i can’t wait to wake up to that upstairs soon!

i’ve gotten so used to doom and gloom down here in this here basement…

that i’ve forgotten what it’s like to wake up to sunshine.

headed back up to vacuum.

just to soak up some sunlight. 🙂

oh and the guys are SO close to finishing!!!

oh just so close!

and we have TONS of wood left.

there is a lot, i mean A LOT of scrap wood with this kind of tavern/utility grade wood…

so i ordered 2500 sq ft when we only have 1900 (counting the front porch) to lay.

i’m so glad we didn’t run out!

anyone want our leftovers???

i’ll give ya REALLY good price!
